Q: IF THE BOTTLES HAVE BEEN OPENED WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE?
A: There is still no shelf life even the bottles have been opened
Q: HOW LONG DOES THE GEL TAKE TO CROSS LINK?
A: The gel will cross link in 10 minutes at 21°C. It will take longer than this if it is colder and quicker than this if it is warmer.
Q: CAN IT BE USED FOR PERMANENT APPLICATIONS?
A; Yes, the product will not deteriorate over time
Q: WHAT IT THE IP RATING ONCE SOMETHING HAS BEEN POTTED WITH THE GEL?
A: The IP rating is actually greater than 68, it goes off the current scale
Q: HOW MUCH DO I NEED TO FILL A 4x4x2 BOX?
A: It depends what you have in the box, the more components the less you need. As a rule of thumb a 4 x 4 x 2 box will be completely full when empty with approx 400ml of gel
Q: DO I NEED TO POT THE ENTIRE BOX?
A: Not if you don’t want to. It is more cost efficient if you use just enough gel to cover all the components that you want to protect
Q: IF I USE THE GEL IN AN ENCLOSURE DOES THIS MEAN THAT IT IS ATEX APPROVED?
A: No. The gel is approved for use within enclosures and does not make enclosure ATEX approved
Q: DO I NEED TO DISPOSE OF ANY UNWANTED MATERIAL IN A CONTROLLED MANNER?
A: No, you can simply put it into general waste
Q: WILL THE GEL CROSS LINK BELOW 0°C?
A: Yes. In fact the gel will cross link at up to -60ºC unlike conventional resin which will not cross link at sub zero conditions
